G-Race was designed by a model boat racer for model boat racing.

 

Many of the current lap scoring systems are designed around rc car racing and and many of the systems we had a look at came close but not a complete answer. So we decided to develop our own software program. And while busy doing this decided to include many extra features to help manage our club in a much more efficient way.

 

The results are outstanding, we now have a system the allows us to keep detail record of memberships, payment for race days as well as membership payments, club exspenses and much more. The program allows us to assign race days/events to a racing season automatically calculating heat results, day results as well as season standings. Grace is fully automated and uses the latest Voice engines from Microsoft which enables us to have voice prompted count downs, results, heat announcements, race information and much more - all of this managed by the program.

 

We are also incorporating the I-Lap electronic scoring system into Grace, this is transponder based automated lap scoring system to ensure we get the most accurate results on the water.

This is the Event creater - here you can create a custom day of racing including various classes and differant types of racing.

 

 

This is the Racer and models editor - here you select the racer, the models allowed  to compete in this event will be displayed.

Once the models has been selected it will be used to build the racing schedule (the display grid on the right)

 

 

This is the business end of the racing module - this is where the racing information is stored for each race.

 

 

The systems uses a HD Web camera to capture the start of each heat, this eliminates any arguments on who jumped the start.

These photos are also viewable from the above racing module for real time accuracy.

 

 

 

 

Racing classes can be specified with many differant parameters to create custom heats for specific classes. Racing can have a time limit or specified number of laps, laps per heat and much more.

 

 

 

This is the racer information page. All the details including all the models raced by this racer, personal and contact detail, membership status are all included.

The Phonetic name for example is used by the voice engine and used for results read outs and other in race information.

 

 

 

 

On the model information screen we can specify detail model information, including frequency, model number, model specifications, photo as well as transponder ID's. also included is validation functionality to check if the boat number is available before assignment as well as frequency management.
